From my dad's bar we headed to the farm for a surprise visit to grandma, with a couple chinese fire drills along the way. She knew we were going out that night but did not know we were going to visit her, it was so fun to see her face when we all trickled in the house. I'm just glad she didn't shit her pants. I had made a shirt for her, with her picture on the front and it said "The Original Hulke Hottie" and we all signed the back. She put it on right away, it was so cute! From there we headed to a bar in a town that I am pretty has population of 1.5 people. The bar didn't even sell hard alcohol. So maybe it wasn't a bar? I don't know, I think I drank beer. People ate, drank, started getting a little tipsy and my sister-in-law forgot there were stairs going to the sidewalk and took quite a tumble. Somehow she walked away un-scathed, lucky bitch. We heard rumblings of a wedding nearby and we were sure the bride wanted nothing more than 20 Hulke girls to make an appearance at her reception. We pulled up in our 3 mini vans, got out shouting the grooms name, ran to the dance floor, danced for one song, ran back to the vans and left. I so wish I would've had a video camera to record people's faces. Hilarious! A couple weeks later I heard the bride was not happy with our cameo appearance. After all the dancing it was time for more bars. We played a couple rounds of 7-14-21, my aunt Debbie was SO excited for her Patron shot. It was like we asked her to lick a cat's ass. On to another bar for more drinks and shots. Then it was time to head back to my dad's bar to end our evening. I made the mistake of walking and talking at the same time and ended up falling in a pothole and dislocating my knee cap. Put a little damper on the evening. Almost 4 months later and I'm still wearing a brace!

Hulke Hotties Night Out!
In October, all the ladies, 21 and older, on my dad's side of the family ventured out for a night on the town. There were a lot of us--20 or so. I think only 1 or 2 of the ladies were missing. All Hulke's plus one honorary Hulke for the night. The three sisters were our designated drivers, they had NO idea what they got themselves into. We started at my dad's bar where everyone was assigned a number based on their birth order or if you were a spouse, your husbands birth order. I had a goody bag for the night that included an array of shots. Throughout the night we asked bar patrons to pick a number and if yours was chosen, you had to take the shot, if they picked a DD's number, they got to give the shot. It was lovely!

We decided this needs to be a yearly event. It was such a special night and I loved getting to talk to cousins that I don't see that often and spending time with my aunties. I'm so lucky to come from a big family. I'm so proud to but a Hulke Hottie and owe it all to the one who started it all--the original!
