It was nice to have a busy weekend, I've been holed up in my apartment for so long, being out and about was refreshing.
Friday night I went over to Cindy's house....she is always working on a project in or for her house. I think it keeps her sane. Mostly she just creates a lot of work for herself but, to each their own. She asked if I'd come over and help get some things organized and work on a bulletin board. Done and done. There may have been a cocktail or two in there also. I also showed her this.
Saturday was girls day...Cindy and Mindy picked me up and we headed to Cooks of Crocus Hill in Edina for our cooking classes. First up, Knife Skills. Back up, first up, my seat is next to the only gay in the class...of course. Obviously, I turned to him said "hello, please don't cut me." The look on his face was priceless and he was literally speechless. It took him a second/several minutes/he never really did to "get me." So, knife skills...in all honesty, I was a little scared once the chef said it was our turn to start cutting. Especially since my partner was shaky shakerson (my little mindy has always had quite the shaky hands, she "claims" it's normal.) I was surprised how well I did, I love the new techniques he taught us. We thought I had cut myself at one point but no worries, it was just a carrot peel. Phew. We had an hour brake in between classes so we headed over to Fringe, it's a fun little jewlery shop that I love! I may or may not have bought something(s). The second class was searing. We didn't do any hands on during that class but learned so much. And we got to eat steak. Mooooo. After cooking class we headed to BW3 and met Mindy's hubby for dinner. He likes my new boobs.
Sunday was my grandparents 60th anniversary party...I had to leave at the crack-o-ass because church started at 9:00am. Church was followed by lunch and dessert. I got a chance to talk with my grandma for a little while. I learned so much about her parents and my grandpa's parents, their childhoods, and their courtship. My grandparent's are awesome! I refuse to believe they'll ever be gone.
I got to see my nephews, they get cuter every second. I sat next to Keegan during church, he was HIghlarious! When it was quiet he said "wook dayjay (he calls me dayjay...melts my heart) new socks. I didn't understand what he said so he repeated it again and again. His mom finally told me he got new socks. Another time is was quiet and he belched like he was at a bar, that caused me to get the giggles and I couldn't stop laughing. Riley was of course less than pleased to in church, it looked like he was in excruciating pain. They need to stop growin, I can't take it. I just got a text from my SIL, Keegs pooped in the potty all by himself, he's all growed up. Tear.

I'd Sell My First Born
Just to watch Chelsea Latley. She literally just pulled her dress down to show her cookies during her monologue. Bobby Lee and Ross Mathews are on the panel tonight. I die.
COTW
Since I'm angry about football right now, I'm taking a break. I just finished the entire series of The Wire. One of the best dramatic shows ever made. So, I'm dedicating this COTW to all the men of the show. They got me through my surgery recovery. RARRRRR!
So
How's about an update since I suck ass at blogging lately?
*Recovery is a bitch. And I mean that. A big fat asshole. Had a bad reaction to the tape so now there's all kinds of crap going on. The tape literally started to eat my skin. Missed 3 days of work this week. Couldn't wear a shirt or bra for 3 days. Developed a hole in my incision because the stitches wanted to come out. Had them removed. Scabs. Ooz. Pain. Itch.
*Had a blast at my cousin's wedding. May have drank too much.
*Have 2 more weddings in October. 2 more opportunities for me to contemplate fashioning a noose during the boquet toss.
*The Vikings are sucking a big fat one. Not even going to waste anymore time on that.
*I have two cooking classes on Saturday, one is knife skills...ahahaha, that will be comical. I'm not sure what the second one is, I can't remember, we signed up so long ago. Maybe recipes using ramen noodles. I'm poor.
*A few boys from the past popping up, not sure what that's about. Apparently they don't understand that they were removed from the fridge.
*What the eff is up with people wearing glasses with big black frames and no lenses. You look dumb. Knock it off.
*Have you ever seen John Travolta's baby picture? It's one of the creepiest things I've ever seen. Just proves what I've always believed, that man is an alien. You'll have to google it, I'm not posting that on my blog.
*GLEE + BRITNEY = PEE IN MY PANTS ---It's ganna be major!
Crap, Mondo is crying on Project Runway and I don't why. Gotta go.

Misc.
* Feeling a little defeated today. Just one of those days where things don't go your way. Home from work today, shitty night last night. My right boob is acting up. Can't wait until this is all over. My STD claim got messed up which in turn messes with my money. Bent another fingernail all the way back and not only did it hurt, it broke...it was my longest one. Anyone who knows what it's taken for me to grow my nails, knows how devestating this is! :)
*On the positive side, got to eat at one of my favorite mom and pop shops on Saturday. It was my first time sitting in a booth since surgery and my boobs DIDN'T touch the table! It was amazing. I never wanted to sit in a booth because it's so uncomfortable for me and embarassing. No longer my friend.
*Football season has started, need I say more? I love every minute of it. I don't just watch the Vikings...I try to watch all the games and MNF is the best! (Monday Night Football for all you novices) Fall weather, football, cute guys in tight pants...ahhh, it's like God created it just for me.
*My first days back at work last week went good, it was quiet in my department so I got to ease back into things. It feels good getting back into a routine again. I missed my co-workers too, so nice to see them again.
*Is it just me or does Christmas preperation get earlier every year?! In the matter of a few days, my December weekends completely filled up. I went shopping with my mom on Saturday and all I could do was think about Christmas presents I need to buy. I was like, wait a minute....it's September for pete's sake. Jeeze.
*I have my cousins wedding this weekend, really not looking forward to getting dressed up, I feel like I look so silly in anything I wear. Plus I'm wearing a dress from last year, should be interesting to see how the girls look in it! hah!
*Next weekend is my grandparents 60th anniversary party...60 years, can you imagine? Usually I'm annoyed by guys in 60 minutes.
*Most of you know I'd skin Chelsea Handler and wear her if I could, I'd even convert to lesbianism if she batted that way. And no, I'm not already a lesbian if that's what you're thinking. Just because I'm 31 and single doesn't mean I muff dive. Jesus. Anyways, she hosted the VMA's last night, I usually don't watch them because they annoy me but I wasn't going to miss a chance to see Chels. I was SO excited, she's never let me down. Until, last night. So disappointing. They're saying she's the worst host they've ever had, I don't buy that but she certainly wasn't herself. So sad. The show itself was pretty boring. Oh well.

Resuming Life
I'll be heading back to work tomorrow. I'm not completely healed or feeling 100% but I think I'm ready to get things back to normal. Whatever normal is. Sleeping is still annoying and the pain sucks but I'm feeling much better. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I changed my tape yesterday, it was fun to see the incisions. When the doctor did it, I was laying down and didn't get to see too much. I can tell there is still a long way to go with the healing but all in all it looked pretty good.
I'm a little worried about the greasiness that is my hair. It has been absolutely horrible since surgery, I know it's from the anesthesia but it will not go away. How am I suppose to go to work with this crap? Can't really hide it. Plus, I can't shower every day, it's too painful. Dear lord this could be interesting. Wish me luck.
